If you cast scorpion wire on someone and cast heart of shadow and then viper's defense, you shadowstep back twice and then to the target, knocking them down. It may use more skill slots than wastrel's collapse but it's not elite, you can do it slightly more often, and it's not heart of shadow or viper's are useless skills otherwise.

I like using Shadow Haste with it instead, but it has a long recharge...

Neat idea, it would have been better if they had made [heart of shadow] and [vipers defense] shadow step you back out of agro range. Then the skills would have become pretty usefull for kiting, and this would have been nicer.

Its also not 100% reliable, I tried it as soon as the update occured in isle of nameless. It failed about 1 in 5 times from my trials, and it also isnt very fast. About 3 seconds after the hex is casted u teleport. Way too long, and very obvious after the first one. + if they move a lil towards you it fails.

Overall, not worth it. WC is far better.

I wish they'd make scorp wire do something like what the april fools update said.... like half range, 2-3 second cast, 45-60 sec recharge, but just to be able to shadow step a foe to you and beat on him... oh yeah.....

ooh! i did a build similar to this for pvp right after the may 14th update, scorp wire covered by enduring toxin and then heart of shadow to activate scorp. follow up with palm strike and trampling ox and knock em down again, then iron palm for another knockdown while ox & scorp recharge, then palm strike and ox should be recharged before palm's short crip runs out.

then viper's defense out and recast scorp wire, then HoS out and bam you're back in for the palm & ox again. i've made ppl ragequit and it is much lols.. but it is useless for winning and killing things.

Oh hmm I have an extra slot in my wacky scorpion wire build, maybe i'll slot Heart of Shadow to make it easier to get our of aggro bubble.

Fun for lolz, but that's too many skillslots for me to want to use it.

I have, however, used Scorpion Wire in some of my AB builds (on both Sin and Warrior primaries), for epic "omgwtf!" to mess around. My Warrior loves scaring people off after hexing them with Scorpion Wire, just so that when they run (and I hit "X" > "R" to run the opposite way) to try and escape, all it ends up doing is getting them KD'd with me right on top of them! Teach those pesky IMS users to try and get out of the ass-kicking they deserve...
